In the absence of main market rival Cristal Clere, the Adrian Murray trained Crypto Force took full advantage of the opportunity presented to win the concluding Get Galway Races Ready With The Tote Race at Gowran Park.

Fully 10lb ahead of his two rivals on official ratings, the five-year-old son of Time Test was sent off a short priced 2/5f under Dylan Browne McMonagle.

Making most of the running, the market leader was strongly pressed by the Shark Hanlon trained Penzance over a furlong out.

However, finding plenty for pressure, the Amo Racing Limited owned horse stayed on well to win by two-lengths.

Jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle was completing a treble on the card.

“He was dropping in class a bit so he was entitled to win it,” said Murray.

“Dylan was saying that he could go back up in trip. He probably wants the ground softer than today, he said it was as quick as he wanted it.

“That’ll crown him, he needed that. With the autumn coming up the ground will be getting a bit more to his liking and there will be lots of opportunities for him.”
