Trainer Jim Bolger has decided against running star juvenile Dawn Approach in Sunday's Galileo EBF Futurity Stakes at the Curragh as he feels conditions are unsuitable.

The juvenile is unbeaten in four starts to date and was last seen landing the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.

He missed the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh two weeks ago on account of testing ground and while Bolger had hoped to see his charge return to action this weekend, similar conditions look set to prevail again.

"Unfortunately the ground isn't going to be suitable, so he isn't running," said Bolger.

"We can manage him at home and hopefully he will reappear in the National Stakes (Curragh, September 15) if conditions are suitable there."

Mars, the 2013 Investec Derby ante-post favourite, is also missing from the final line-up - although trainer Aidan O'Brien still saddles three of the five runners.
