Deauville Takes Chester Group 3 The Aidan O'Brien trained Deauville made all the running under Ryan Moore to land the Group 3 Huxley Stakes at Chester this afternoon. The son of Galileo began his career with a Maiden victory at Listowel in May 2015 and followed that up by taking the Group 3 Tyros Stakes at Leopardstown on his second start. He was then stepped up in class and contested the Epsom Derby last season when finishing down the field behind Harzand. He also campaigned in the US where he won the Belmont Derby (Grade 1) and finished third in the Arlington Million. Aidan O'Brien told ITV after the race: "The mile and a quarter trip is as far as he wants to go. He is professional and straightforward and a sound horse. He is in all the races and we will look at both the Curragh and Ascot." Ryan Moore said: "He jumped a length, a length and a half, quicker than them all. "He was able to control the race. He loves fast ground and is a good-moving horse."
