Debutante the target for Alshahbaa Kevin Prendergast is waiting for suitable ground before taking the wraps off promising juvenile Alshahbaa. The Alhaarth filly made a winning bow at the Curragh in May but has not run since as Prendergast feels she is better with some cut. Alshahbaa holds an entry in the Moyglare Stud Stakes on August 30th but could make her next start in the Ballygallon Stud Debutante Stakes at Leopardstown on August 6th, with stablemate Termagant also in the frame. "Being by Alhaarth, I think she (Alshahbaa) has a preference for a little ease in the ground," he told At The Races. "We had her in a couple of places when the ground just wasn't suitable. We'll wait until we get suitable ground and she's in the Debutante Stakes at Leopardstown in three weeks' time. "(We think) quite a lot about her and she's a nice filly very good straightforward but needs the ground. "Termagant is also in the Debutante. They are two nice two-year-olds."
