Decisions Delayed On Asian Maze And Newmill Decisions regarding the participation of Asian Maze and Newmill at the Punchestown Winter Festival over the weekend have been delayed pending ground conditions. Tom Mullins and John Joseph Murphy both intend walking the course at Punchestown before making final decisions on the participation of their charges in The Maplewood Developments Morgiana Hurdle. Newmill was last seen in action when a very impressive winner of the Kerrygold Champion Chase at Punchestown in April. Last year Newmill started a very fruitful campaign by finishing fourth behind Brave Inca in the Maplewood Hurdle at Punchestown and trainer John Joseph Murphy intends to follow a similar path this year. The popular mare Asian Maze will be hoping to add to her perfect record at Punchestown which has seen her win four from four at the Co. Kildare track over distances ranging from two to three miles. Looking forward to the weekend Punchestown General Manager Dick O Sullivan said ', while the going is heavy at the moment the track drains very well and given the forecast we are expecting an improvement between now and the weekend.
