Denman on target for Aintree British Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls has confirmed that Denman is an intended runner in the Grade 1 Totesport Bowl at Aintree on April 7. Denman, second to Long Run in the Gold Cup at Cheltenham, will be running at Aintree for just the second time, having fallen at the venue two years ago. Nicholls reported "Denman has come out of the Gold Cup really well and the plan is to go to Aintree." "He is fresh and well and has only had two runs this season but we would like to see some rain before Aintree. He has good form on good ground but he's 11 now and he's not as quick as he was on it. I'm sure he'll run well at Aintree."
