Diakali aimed at Istabraq Hurdle Diakali will be prepared for a return to Tipperary in the autumn after disappointing when favourite for last month's Galway Hurdle. Narrowly beaten in last year's Aintree Hurdle before finishing fourth in the French Champion Hurdle, the Willie Mullins-trained grey then spent over 12 months on the sidelines with injury. The six-year-old made the perfect return when bolting up in the Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary, but failed to fire at Ballybrit. Diakali's owner Nick Peacock said: "Diakali is in good order. He got a bit stirred up in the box on the way to Galway and he is a bit of a character. "He didn't run his race and maybe he didn't like the track, either. I think we'll just put a line through it. "It came up fairly quickly after his comeback run at Tipperary and I think if Willie had his time again, he might not have run at Galway, but it's such a valuable prize you feel like you must have a go. "He's been fine since and the plan is to go back to Tipperary in early October for the Grade Two (Istabraq Hurdle)."
