Trainer Eddie Lynam could offer no excuses for Viztoria after she disappointed in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville on Sunday.

The daughter of Oratorio was sent off an 11-2 chance for the French Group One but she could only finish a well-beaten 12th under Wayne Lordan.

"Viztoria ran disappointingly. We have no explanation for it, she seems fine," said the County Meath handler.

"She is well entered up and we will wait and see how she is over the next fortnight or so before making any concrete plans.

"It was the first time ever in her career that she ran a disappointing race and, at this moment in time, we have no reason for it.

"We basically just have to watch this space and wait and see."
