Down Royal next up for Shanahan's Turn Shanahan's Turn is likely to be sent to Down Royal towards the end of the month in pursuit of redemption. Despite having won the Galway Plate, trainer Henry de Bromhead was left bemused by the seven-year-old gelding's most recent display, when he finished last in the Grade Two PWC Champion Chase at Gowran on October 3. "He was brilliant at Galway and he was just bitterly disappointing at Gowran Park," De Bromhead told At The Races. "We have run plenty of tests on him, but no reason has emerged for it yet. "Unless something turns up between now and then, we'll run him in the second-season chase at Down Royal at the end of October and just hope he can get back on track."
