James Doyle will be back in action in Australia this week after recovering from hand and knee injuries sustained in a fall last month.

Doyle, who has been riding for Godolphin through the winter, has been out of action since his fall at Randwick in mid-February.

However, he is ready to return to the track this week, with Doyle due to ride in trials at Randwick on Tuesday before taking three mounts at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

He told www.godolphin.com: "My wrist and knee have healed well and I am delighted to resume racing on Wednesday.

"It has been a frustrating few weeks missing out on some of the key autumn races.

"I have some exciting rides to look forward to for the rest of the championships and I cant wait to get back into the action."

William Buick, who covered for Doyle over the past two Saturday race meetings has returned to Dubai and will ride at next weekend's Dubai World Cup meeting.
