Dreaper hoping Telenor can step up Jim Dreaper's Telenor features among a high-class field of six runners in the Grade Two Woodlands Park 100 Club Novice Chase at Naas on Saturday. Having finished third behind Jered on his fencing introduction, the seven-year-old went a couple of places better with an impressive success at Navan last month. "He did it well the last day and obviously he is stepping up in class now, but there aren't many places to go after you've won your beginners chase," said Dreaper. "He wasn't great at the final fence the last day but it's always difficult for a jockey when they're that far clear as you don't know whether to ask them or just let them fiddle it. "He's still inexperienced and even though he's a seven-year-old now, we're treating him as though he's a six-year-old as he will improve again after another summer. "It is difficult to compare him to Notre Pere but this fellow will go on improving and who knows, he might end up in the Welsh National at Chepstow one day." Drinmore Novice Chase runner-up Alpha Ridge represents Paul Nolan, Mouse Morris is triple-handed with Baily View, Beckett Rock and Copsiano while the Noel Meade-trained Oscar Looby completes the field.
