Dubawi Supplemented For National Stakes

Godolphin have supplemented Dubawi at a cost of 30,000 euro for the Dunnes Stores National Stakes taking place at the Curragh this Sunday.

The son of Dubai Millennium who has won his only 2 starts at Newmarket and Goodwood will attempt to extend his unbeaten record in the Group One contest. He is one of 16 horses remaining in the race following today’s final forfeit stage. Others include the Brian Meehan trained Indian Passage, Wilko trained by Jeremy Noseda, together with Laudable trained by John Oxx and the Tommy Stack trained Berenson, while Aidan O’Brien has kept 8 horses in the 300,000 euro contest, including recent Maiden winner Ad Valorem. The winner of the Group One contest will attempt to follow in the footsteps of famous previous winners including subsequent classic winners Sinndar, Refuse to Bend, Desert King, El Gran Senor, Sir Ivor and Roberto.

The Sir Michael Stoute trained Red Bloom and Secret Charm from the Barry Hills stable are two likely runners in the Group 2 Irish National Stud Blandford Stakes, while Boylesports Irish 1000 Guineas runner up Alexander Goldrun, Epsom Oaks runner up All Too Beautiful and Hazarista third in the Darley Irish Oaks are other likely contenders. An impressive support program also includes the Listed Ben Dunne Memorial Solonaway Stakes with 22 entries; Listed St Bernard Blenheim Stakes with 17 entries including the Sir Mark Prescott trained pair Comic Strip and Cupid’s Glory, while 26 entries remain in the 200,000-euro Irish Breeders Foal Levy Stakes including 13 British trained performers.
