Dundalk preview There are six handicaps on the card at Dundalk on Wednesday where the E24,000 Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Handicap, over a mile, takes centre stage. Michael Halford is a leading trainer at the venue and his Chestnut Fire bids to follow up a recent course and distance win in the race. The son of Showcasing will again be ridden by Halford’s stable jockey Shane Foley and today face another last-time out winner Beau Satchel, for trainer Ado McGuinnes. The eight runner race also features the Sheila Lavery trained Secret Wizard and the Jim Bolger trained Special Focus, each placed in their latest starts. Trainer Pat Flynn had a winner at Dundalk on Friday with course specialist Hes Our Music, a seven-time winner at the venue, and is again represented by another gelding Twistsandturns, which appears to appreciate the track. Twistsandturns, which contests the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Handicap, has finished second on each of his last three starts but is also a three-time course winner and should prove competitive from a mark of 50. Jessamine has solid prospects for trainer Flynn in division one of the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap having finished third at the track last month while the Johnny Levins trained top weight Palavicini Run might be able to win the concluding Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Handicap.
