Free Eagle remains on target for either the Cup or Vase in Hong Kong on December 13 before retiring to stud.

The Prince Of Wales's Stakes winner was last seen when finishing sixth in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and is due to have one more run for Dermot Weld before retiring to the Irish National Stud.

"Provided I'm quite happy with Free Eagle in every way it will be his last race before he retires to the Irish National Stud," Weld told The Irish Field.

"I just want to make sure he is healthy and well. This will be his final race. He loves fast ground, so we're looking forward to travelling to Hong Kong."

Weld is also mulling a trip abroad with his Champion Stakes hero Fascinating Rock, with a run at Meydan in Dubai a possible option.

Weld said: "He was second this year in the Tattersalls Gold Cup and we might keep him for that but there's a possibility he might go to Dubai next March.

"He'll make a lovely five-year-old."
