Danny Murphy looks set to bid for three Mercury Stakes' in a row as speedball Eclairage is being lined up for a return to Dundalk.

The three-year-old Kuroshio filly is unbeaten in four runs on the Polytrack at Dundalk with all four victories coming over the minimum trip.

She was last seen finishing fifth in a Heritage Handicap at York last month after blazing a trail on her latest attempt to make the turf breakthrough.

The trainer said: "Sure she ran a blinder (in York).

"Colin Keane got down off her and he said 'The Mercury'.

"She is unbeaten in Dundalk.

"We are after winning the Mercury the last two years in a row, so we are going third time lucky.

"I'd say she is the quickest one I've had for Dundalk anyway."

Dun Na Sead and Oisin McSweeney landed the five furlong Group 3 Mercury Stakes in October 2023 for Murphy, and James Ryan steered Ostraka home in 2024.
