Electric Beauty stayed on well for Wesley Joyce to claim the James P. Cunningham Electrical Handicap over an extended mile at Galway.

Joyce angled her out to come with a renewed effort off the home bend and the Mastercraftsman filly took over from Vlhova entering the straight.

The 40/1 shot scooted right away in the final 150 yards to score by three lengths from a keeping-on Rizal (9/4 favourite) as Vlhova (7/1) dropped to third.

Mick Mulvany said: "We tried her over further at Tramore the last day but it didn't work, so we brought her back in trip. She is a big filly, we're only learning about her and I thought she might stay further as when she was with Ken Condon, he ran her over further. I think her ideal trip is around nine furlongs.

"She isn't slow and had won over seven furlongs at Leopardstown but, at the end of the day, she is only learning about it and hopefully it is onwards and upwards with her.

"She has a good pedigree and is quirky in her own way, so we are only learning with her."
