Elliott off the mark at Navan for new campaign Returning Officer got Gordon Elliott off the mark for the new jumps campaign at his favourite venue when claiming the ‘unplaced’ maiden hurdle at Navan. The No Risk At All gelding had disappointed on his jumping debut at Sligo when last seen in mid-July but bounced back in fine style. Jack Kennedy produced the 3/1 shot to lead on the bridle going to the final flight. He was slightly untidy there but had plenty in the tank late on to secure a six-length win over Any Chance. Elliott said: "He's had his few problems and things just didn't work out for him. "He quickened up there and galloped well - I know it wasn't the best race in the world. "This race was kind of made for him, and I do think he is better than what he has done. "I'm glad he put his head in front today. We'll keep it small and try and win with him again. "He's for sale."
