Elm Park to return next year Andrew Balding hopes to have Group One winner Elm Park back in his yard early next year after he missed this campaign through injury. The four-year-old, winner of the Royal Lodge Stakes and the Racing Post Trophy as a juvenile, has not been sighted since finishing fifth behind Solow in last year's Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot. . Balding said: "Elm Park is currently recuperating at Longholes Stud but hopefully he will be back in the new year ready for a campaign next season." He added: "We've not discussed plans for him and I imagine I will know more near Christmas time. He had a tendon injury. "It was not a severe one, but the owners decided to take a conservative approach as he is a high-class horse."
