English duo clash in Dundalk feature Damian English has enjoyed a fine season on the all-weather at Dundalk this winter and he saddles two old favourites in the featured Anglo Printers Handicap on Friday night. Geological has already struck twice for the Naul handler this campaign and steps back up to a mile having won over the trip on his penultimate outing. He ran with plenty of credit dropped back to six furlongs at the course earlier this month and turns out again off the same mark of 82. Joining him in the field is stablemate Tribal Path, who proved such a star for the yard last season. The Giant's Causeway gelding won six times in 2016 and makes his first appearance since being tried in Listed company at the Curragh in October. Another familiar name in the line-up for the €16,000 contest is Political Policy, an eight-time winner at the course. Gavin Cromwell's charge has done most of his racing over further recently but has won over a mile at the track in the past. The highest-rated performer on show at the meeting is actually in the opening claimer as Chestnut Fire takes a drop in grade. Michael Halford's charge has had a profitable campaign this winter, winning twice and claimiing prize-money on four other occasions. He looks to have a good bit in hand of his rivals off a mark of 92 in the Esther McGahon,McGuinness & Co Solicitors, Dundalk Claiming Race. Hes Our Music, who has become something of a standing dish in similar races at the venue, looks capable of picking up more prize-money. Halford is often the man to follow at Dundalk and should also collect in the following Elusive Pimpernel Fillies Maiden with Zinat. The Aga Khan-owned filly shaped with promise when chasing home Magen's Moon at the course on her debut last month and will be expected to go one better now. It looks significant that Pat Smullen takes the mount again in preference to the Dermot Weld-trained newcomer Katouna in the same colours.
