Enright doubles-up on The Border Boy The Border Boy completed a double for Phillip Enright in the second divide of the Follow Us On Instagram Handicap Hurdle. With Sean O'Keeffe originally due to partner this Sean Aherne-trained eight-year-old, it was a chance spare ride for Enright, who had earlier claimed the opener on Love At Sea. Backed from 14s into 17/2, the 72-rated victor was always prominent on the outer and jumped the third last in a narrow lead. Extending his advantage before the last, he kept on well when ridden and ultimately came home two-and-three-quarters of a length to the good. Running his best race to date, the easy-to-back Bannow Blaze (16/1 from 8s) filled the runner-up spot, while That's All (4/1jf) and Surviving Murmansk (12/1) were third and fourth respectively. Bidding to follow-up on a recent course win, Small Bucks was the other joint-favourite and she finished a disappointing eighth. "I was hopeful of a good run but I suppose you couldn't be confident as he hadn't won before now," Aherne, who also owns the chestnut victor, reflected. "He was finding it very difficult to win but the IHRB's drop in the basement rating was a huge help and is a great idea for the lower class horses. "He might be a little nervous in behind horses and with the noise of hurdles and things, so I think he was very happy out in front today. We got a race out of him so I'm delighted to get that. "We'll go mad now as we have a few bob!" STEWARDS REPORTS * The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that H.E. Sexton, rider of Surviving Murmansk, weighed in at 1.8lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had a drink of water prior to the race and apologised for the error. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that H.E. Sexton was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for one raceday. * At the request of the Raceday Stewards, D.J Gilligan, rider of Sionainn (FR), trained by Aidan Melia, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled and unseated him. Having viewed the recording of the race and noted the report the raceday stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted. Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
