Espanito Bello bids for repeat Leinster National win Naas course-specialist Espanito Bello bids to regain the Bar One Racing Leinster National today with owner/trainer Barry Connell hoping his veteran can get back on track. All of Espanito Bello’s five career wins have come at today’s venue, including successes in the 2023 Leinster National and 2024 Brown Lad Hurdle, but has been out of form in recent runs. Connell reports “he’s back to his favourite track but has topweight and is 11 now. You can put a line through his last run over hurdles as he just doesn’t like getting crowded. He prefers a bit of space so that’s the way we’ll ride him. “It looks a competitive race and I’m hoping he can finish in the frame if he puts his best foot forward.”
