Eustace Considers Orcadian Options Windsor racegoers are 'almost certain' to see Orcadian in action on Saturday - although connections have yet to decide which race he will contest.James Eustace's five-year-old would have to shoulder top weight if running in the totesport.com November Stakes so could instead line up in the Celebrated Artist Piran Strange For Sparks Stakes earlier on the card. Both races are staged over a trip just shy of one mile and a half. And while Eustace is thrilled with his charge at present, he hopes more rain will fall at the course before the weekend.'He will almost certainly run on Saturday, it's really just a question of whether he runs in the Listed race or in the November Handicap,' reasoned the Newmarket-based handler.'At the moment, I don't know the answer to that in that I need to talk to Jeff (Smith, owner) about it.'We were going to wait and look at the weights in the November Handicap and then come to a decision but he's in good form and he will run in one or the other.'I wouldn't mind it raining again for him because the softer it is, the better it'll be.'I know Windsor is probably softer than Newmarket but the heath was more like good ground than anything else this morning.'Orcadian has already registered a success at Listed and Group Three level on the Flat but also found himself in the winner's enclosure after a successful debut over timber in February. He subsequently finished down the field in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham but a return to the National Hunt scene looks to be on the cards.'I think he'll probably go hurdling again this winter at some stage but we haven't talked about that in detail and we are going to get Windsor over with before deciding,' Eustace added.'There are a couple of Listed races in France in December that are worth considering as the prize money is around 50% more than the one on Saturday, for instance.'If we don't go for those then we could be going hurdling sooner than I'd thought.'We've always thought that it probably does him good mentally to have a spin over hurdles so we've always said he would do it again at some stage.'?
