Harry Rogers' fast improving four-year-old has now risen a total of 35 lbs since his narrow defeat at Tramore in mid-August following three impressive victories in recent weeks. The gelded son of Fast Company out of a Galileo mare was a bargin-basement buy for 5,500 Guineas from Godolphin. Lord Erskine has won almost €75,000 for his new connections in recent weeks and more will surely be on the horizon if he can transfer his recent improvement on the Flat to his jumping career. He is now rated the same over Hurdles as on the Flat with a mark of 87 in both codes. Pulled up quickly on his most recent Hurdles start at Ballinrobe on 14th August when losing his action after jumping the second last hurdle Lord Erskine will be of much interest when next sent over timber. To put his hurdles rating into context he is now rated 15 lbs inferior to Sunday's runner-up Snow Falcon on the Flat but a massive 71 lbs below him over Hurdles.
