Exciting Shy Set For Greatwood Test Expensive French purchase Don´t Be Shy is set to make his British debut in Sunday´s Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham. The four-year-old, who is now owned by David Johnson and trained by Martin Pipe, was a Grade Two winner at Auteuil on his final start for Thomas Trapenard in May. Don´t Be Shy had previously won a Grade Three event and had also been placed at the highest level when third to Kiko in the Prix Cambaceres a year ago. Although Pipe is playing down Don´t Be Shy´s prospects, he is unquestionably one of the most exciting prospects in the yard and has delighted connections in recent schooling sessions. 'I think he´s in on 140,' the trainer said. 'He (the handicapper) will obviously have checked up on his French form and he rarely gets it wrong. 'His mark looks about right to me but the race will give us a better idea of which direction we take with him. He could go over fences.' Don´t Be Shy is already a 12-1 chance with William Hill for the Arkle Trophy at the Festival in March, while he is 25-1 with Coral for the Champion Hurdle. The Trempolino gelding is one of three possibles from Pipe´s yard along with Westender and Fontanesi.(C) PA Sport
