Richard Fahey saddled the winner, fourth and fifth as Johannes swooped late to land the Get Your Bet On At bluesq.com Stewards' Sprint Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

The 22-1 chance was giving apprentice George Chaloner his 15th and biggest success in the saddle when cutting down Louis The Pious close home.

Fair Value and Hayley Turner led at the sharp end as the race really began at halfway, but they was closed down and passed by Tax Free and Louis The Pious passing the furlong pole.

Louis The Pious was driven to the front half a furlong out by Graham Lee and it looked to be a winning move, but Chaloner switched his horse to the far rail to get the son of Mozart flying.

Seeking Magic stayed on for third under Adam Kirby, with Valery Borzov fourth, one place ahead of stablemate El Viento who endured a troubled passage through the race.

"I'm not sure, but I don't think I've had a winner here since this fellow won this race three years ago," said Fahey.

"It's been frustrating, we had a load of seconds here last year and it's nice to get one. The horse had been struggling with a mark in the 90s but the handicapper dropped him and he got a bit of confidence back."
