Tomorrow’s meeting at Fairyhouse has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track and the prospect of further rain on Saturday morning.

The course was found to be unfit for racing following an inspection today.

Clerk of the Course Brian Hamilton said, “We’ve had 30mm of rain since entries and there is another 10 to 15mm forecast for tomorrow morning.

“The ground is saturated and completely flooded in front of the last fence, so we will have to postpone tomorrow’s meeting.

“Further information will appear shortly, as to when it is likely to be rescheduled.”

The Naas meeting on Sunday will have to pass an inspection at 7.30am on Sunday morning. The course is currently fit for racing but further rain is forecast.
