Fallon & Spencer reflect on the Million Kieren Fallon has not lost faith in Afsare despite his pre-race antics seeming to cost him dear in the Arlington Million on Saturday night. The Luca Cumani-trained five-year-old played up before the start, and having been squeezed for room ran on strongly to finish a length and a half ardift of Dale Romans' Little Mike. Fallon said: "If I had broken properly, I could have sat behind. But because he was messing in the gates I didn't get the start that I wanted. I think it cost me the race. "In the morning he is as good as gold and I don't know why he does that. He is tough, though. "He is a good horse and there is a big race in him. I think I would have won if I had been closer. It won't be long before he wins one of these." John Gosden's Colombian dead-heated for third under William Buick while Aidan O'Brien's former Irish Derby winner Treasure Beach was sixth. Jamie Spencer, rider of Treasure Beach, said: "I got squeezed out at the start by William's horse, who jumped right. I wanted to be handy, but couldn't. But he ran a good race. "It's the first time that he has shown his form this year. If things had panned out better he would have been in the three."
