Fillies On Top At Sales

Fillies were in high demand when they filled five of the six highest prices for the session as the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale continued on Wednesday.

Top lot was a filly from Danehill´s last crop, who was knocked down to Chris Richardson of the Cheveley Park Stud for 575,000 guineas.

She is out of the Generous mare Jiving, who is a half-sister to the dam of Dansili, Heat Haze, Banks Hill and Intercontinental and to the mother of leading Breeders´ Cup hope Leroidesanimaux.

The Newmarket-based breeding operation has recently enjoyed Group One successes with the fillies Nannina and Peeress.

The second-highest priced lot for the day went to another filly, a daughter of Sadler´s Wells out of the Group One-winning mare Infamy, who was purchased by Herve Barjot of Pegasus Farms for 475,000 guineas.
