Final Melody hits right notes in Dundalk Natalia Lupini's Final Melody snapped a sequence of three runner-up spots in a row with a decisive victory in the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Nursery Handicap over five furlongs in Dundalk. The well-backed 11/8 favourite disputed the lead upon leaving the gates and took over after a furlong. She readily asserted for Seamie Heffernan on the approach to the final furlong and burned her rivals off by three lengths for owners Gary Devlin, Kevin Osborne, N.W.T Dalzell and Tracey Wylie. The places were occupied by Ninth Crusade (5/1) and This Guy (10/3) in second and third respectively. Assistant trainer Craig Bryson said: "She was placed on her last three starts and Seamie always thought she was a wee bit unlucky. "At the start, she didn't do things right. Early in the year she was too keen, but she has grown up and is more professional. "She jumped and did everything right, galloped to the line, and might get six (furlongs). "I'd imagine so (be on the team for next year), we will run away with her here at Dundalk if she is well."
