The Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes is a possible target for Reliable Man following his fine run in last month's King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot.

Alain de Royer-Dupre's French raider was fourth in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at the Royal meeting on his first trip to Britain and occupied the same position behind Danedream, Nathaniel and St Nicholas Abbey on his return.

The grey is enjoying a mid-term break following a busy first half of the season but could be on his travels again next month, with Leopardstown's Group One test on September 8 being considered.

Royer-Dupre said: "He had a hard race in the King George, so we're going to give him some time off and he could run in the Irish Champion Stakes."
