Friday return for Apple's Apple's Jade is set to begin the new campaign at Down Royal on Friday. Second to Ivanovich Gorbatov in the Triumph Hurdle, she turned the tables on Joseph O'Brien's youngster in no uncertain terms at Aintree, winning by 41 lengths, before following up three weeks later at Punchestown. Now with Gordon Elliott after leaving Willie Mullins, she galloped well enough on Tuesday to convince Elliott she is ready to start off in the WKD Hurdle. Elliott told the Irish Independent: "The plan is she'll run in Friday's WKD Hurdle, though I'm keeping an eye on the ground for a good few of my runners. "Also part of my Friday team at the moment I'm thinking of Monbeg Notorious, A Toi Phil and others."
