Galway Autumn Meeting Galway Race Committee have announced that the Autumn Meeting will commence on Sunday, September 4th at 2.30 p.m. The Autumn meeting runs for three days starting on Sunday, Sept 4th at 2.30 p.m.with racing again on Monday, September 5th and Tuesday, September 6th at 3.45 p.m. There are 23 locally sponsored races over the three days consisting of both Flat and National Hunt Races with a total prize fund of ? 425,500 attracting many well known owners and trainers. Patrons can enjoy the usual facilities in the enclosure such as good food, bar facilities, tote, on course Bookmakers, big screen and free race card draw each day and of course, great racing for the great price of ?15 on Sunday and ?10 on Monday and Tuesday. Patrons can also avail of the seating balcony in the Millennium Stand free of charge while savouring the wonderful views and getting a birds eye view of their favourite horse racing up the home straight. There is also a Guaranteed Jackpot each day of ?10,000. Car parking for this meeting is free as are children under 14. Students and OAP's will be admitted at a discounted price on production of current valid ID.
