Famed for being the only offspring of George Washington, the lure of earning black type for the valuable youngster has proved too good to miss. After making a winning debut in impressive style at Newbury, she was found wanting in better company at Goodwood behind Theyskens' Theory in the Prestige Stakes. However, connections believe there may have been valid excuses for that run and they are eager to see how she gets on. "Julie (Wood, owner) is keen to run Date With Destiny in the Fillies' Mile, so we head there rather than waiting for the sales race at Newmarket next week," said Hannon. "I can see where she is coming from as the race has cut up and the chance of some black type for such a high-profile filly is too good to miss, but obviously we know it will be tough as White Moonstone and Theyskens' Theory have looked two high-class youngsters and are proven in Group company," he told his website, www.richardhannonracing.tv. Brian Meehan trains Theyskens' Theory and his string have really hit form in the last couple of months. The Bernadini filly has won her last two races in imperious fashion and is one of the leading fancies for next year's 1000 Guineas. Martin Dwyer has been in the saddle for all her three races to date but a season-ending injury means Ryan Moore takes over.
