Trainer Tom Gibney is mulling whether to run his Paddy Power Chase-placed Kinturk Kalanisi at the Dublin Racing Festival on February 1, as the eight-year-old potentially bids to shed his maiden status at Grade 3 level.

Placed twice at Listed level over hurdles and rated 138 but without scoring over fences, Kinturk Kalanisi was pulled up in the Irish Grand National last April before filling third place in the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Gibney has entered Kinturk Kalanisi for the Grade 3 O'Driscolls Irish Whiskey Leopardstown Handicap Steeplechase on the second day of the DRF and reports "We don't know if he will run, we have put him in it anyway and we said we would leave it as long as possible and make our mind up closer to the time.

"We were thrilled with him in the Paddy Power and, jumping the last, I thought we were still going to do it, but if you had told me at the start of the day we would finish third, I'd have been delighted."
