Ado McGuinness had mooted putting sprinter Go Athletico into an online sale, but the trainer has confirmed that the Goken gelding will be back in action on the Flat next season.

With racing due to take place in the Curragh on Good Friday (April 3rd), McGuinness is eyeing that as a target for Go Athletico who has been unplaced in his last four starts after landing the valuable Scurry at Headquarters in July.

He said: "No, he didn't sell and he will be back next year.

"We'll probably get him out early when there is cut in the ground.

"There is Good Friday racing on this year in the Curragh and there's big pots of money there. Hopefully, there would be something there for him."
