Godolphin Seek Light Jockey Godolphin are on the lookout for a jockey to ride the exciting Echo Of Light in Saturday´s Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket. With Frankie Dettori booked to partner Sovereign Stakes winner Layman and Kerrin McEvoy having flown home to Australia for the winter, trainer Saeed bin Suroor is without a rider for the son of Dubai Millennium. 'Frankie rides Layman so we have to find a jockey for Echo Of Light. Both are in good form and training well,' said bin Suroor. Echo Of Light ran out on his third start back in August, but has left that form behind with classy wins at Yarmouth and Doncaster, and has been cut to 12-1 from 16s by Ladbrokes for the this weekend´s Group One feature. 'Echo Of Light worked today (Tuesday). It was his last piece of work before the race and it was a good blow-out for him,' bin Suroor continued. 'It´s a tough race - there are stars in there, but we want to give him the chance and he is improving all the time. 'Softer ground would be better for him over a mile and a quarter - I find Dubai Millenniums love soft ground. 'Layman is fine but he wants fast ground.'(C) PA Sport
