The going is sure to be testing as Irish racing continues behind closed doors this weekend in line with government restrictions due to coronavirus.

Navan hosts a seven-race card this afternoon beginning at 1.45 and the ground remains heavy with a risk of further showers.

There is a total prize-fund of €190,000 on offer with the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Handicap Chase and the Grade 2 Webster Cup Chase the highlights.

The action on Sunday switches to Limerick where the going is also heavy following another 2mm of rain in the last 24 hours. The forecast remains unsettled.

The Charleville EBF Mares Novice Chase is the Grade 2 feature on an eight-race card beginning at 1.40.

Looking ahead to St Patrick's Day on Tuesday, there will be two jump meetings at Wexford and Down Royal.

Wexford is now heavy following 15mm of rain since entries, while Down Royal remains soft (heavy in places) with approximately 10mm of rain forecast prior to racing.
