The going for this afternoon's big meeting at Down Royal is currently described as Yielding, Yielding to Soft in places on the Chase course and Soft, Yielding in places on the Hurdle course following 3mm of rain overnight.

The weather is blustery this morning with further rain forecast and due to a status Yellow weather warning the situation will be constantly monitored by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board.

There is a five yard strip of fresh ground on the hurdles course.

Cork racecourse which is in an area due to get the brunt of today's storm saw 8mm overnight and the going ahead of Sunday's fixture is Soft, Soft to Heavy on Hurdle course and Soft on the Chase course.

Naas tomorrow is described as Soft to Heavy with some Heavy patches ahead of tomorrow's flat meeting. 9mm of rain fell overnight and further rain is forecast for the Kildare area today.

It was a similar story at the nearby Curragh where 9mm of rain fell and the ground is also described as Soft to Heavy, Heavy in places ahead of Monday's fixture.
