The approaching Storm Bella is not expected to have any impact on today’s racing as the Christmas festivals begin at Leopardstown and Limerick.

A seven race card at Leopardstown, headlined by the Grade One Racing Post Novice Chase, is set to commence at 12.00.

There’s been no rain since Wednesday and it’s dried a little at the Foxrock venue where it’s now yielding, good to yielding on the chase track and yielding, yielding to soft in places on the hurdle course.

Meanwhile at Limerick there’s been no rain either for the past 48 hours, and the going remains heavy. Greenmount Park action is due to begin at 12.15 and there are seven races down for decision.

The feature, the Grade One Matchbook Betting Exchange Faugheen Novice Chase, will get the white flag at 2.35.
