Watering of the New Course has begun at Cheltenham but there's been no shortage of precipitation here at home and today's two Irish meetings will be run on testing ground.

Following 20mm of rain since declarations, the ground at Gowran Park remains heavy. It's currently sunny and dry with heavy rain (4-7mm approx) forecast for after 3pm. The first of eight races gets under way at 1.25pm. Arctic Bresil (lame) is a notable non-runner in the bumper.

Following 10mm of rain overnight, the going at Navan is now soft, heavy in places. The weather is set to be mainly dry with showers later this evening and an eight-race card starts at 1.40pm.
