Great debut at Naas

Great Pyramid, a full-brother to dual Guineas winner Rock Of Gibraltar, is set to make his racecourse debut at Naas tomorrow night.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained colt is entered for the Yeomanstown/Morristown Lattin Stud EBF Maiden over six furlongs and O'Brien is hopeful of a bold show.

He said: 'He's a good horse and he's ready for a run but will improve for it.'

O'Brien's other highly-touted juvenile Van Nistelrooy, one of the most expensive horses in training after being bought for 6,400,000, is also set to run this week.

He is entered for the Listed Flame Of Tara Tyros Stakes over seven furlongs where he will be bidding to follow up his debut win at the Curragh earlier this month.

O'Brien also has Academy Award, Brian Boru, Cougar, Kimberley Mino, Newfoundland and Yesterday among the 24 preliminary entries for the Curragh race.
