Ground eases slightly at Thurles The ground for this afternoon's meeting at Thurles has eased slightly following further rain this morning at the Tipperary track. The going was originally unchanged at soft first thing this morning after 12mm of overnight rain but the Turf Club have now issued an update. The ground is currently soft, soft to heavy in places. The forecast today is for showers while it is to be mainly dry tomorrow ahead of the first day of Down Royal's two-day meeting. The ground in the north is unchanged at yielding to soft after just 3mm of rain overnight. Leopardstown had 5mm last night and the going there is soft ahead of the Flat finale on Sunday. Cork also race on Sunday and the ground is currently soft, soft to heavy in places after 17mm of rain overnight. Clonmel race next Thursday and it is currently soft, soft to heavy in places on the chase track and soft to heavy on the hurdle/bumper track.
