Owned by the Aga Khan, she chased home Promising Run in the Cape Verdi at Meydan on Thursday but will not stay in Dubai in the short term. "I was delighted with Rehana's performance in the Cape Verdi at Meydan," the trainer told www.mickhalford.com. "Pat (Smullen) gave her a lovely ride and we were just beaten by a better filly on the night - we had no excuses. "The Cape Verdi was over a mile and we know her best form is over seven, but she ran a solid race behind a smart filly. She has been very consistent, has now been placed in a Group Two and won a Group Three last year. "They went a good gallop and our filly had every chance in the straight, but the winner looks smart, and the way she won, she'll take plenty of beating in the Balanchine. "We'll bring Rehana home and discuss plans with Pat Downes (racing manager) regarding future plans."
