Andy Slattery is weighing up a few options for novice chaser Fleur In The Park who only went down narrowly in a Grade 2 at Punchestown last month.

The bumper and maiden hurdle winner opened his account over fences at Wexford when drawing clear on the run-in to beat Tullyhill by eight lengths.

The son of Walk In The Park was Grade 2 placed over hurdles and gained further black type last time in the Matchbook Craddockstown Novice Chase when only headed close home by Westport Cove

Might be better off going for the Grade 3 in Punchestown. I think he'd go on anything; I don't think ground is an issue.

Slattery favours Punchestown Grade 3 over Leopardstown Grade 1

“He did very little wrong (at Punchestown) and if Willie's horse didn't make a mistake at the second-last, we wouldn't have been in front so long. My lad idled in front.

“He kind of parked a bit in front and gave him a chance to get back.

“He's in at Christmas (Grade 1 at Leopardstown on St Stephen's Day), but I don't know. He's in a 2m4f Grade 3 at Punchestown (on January 11). It will either be one or the other.
