Heaven for Thehell Partnership at Limerick Hellorhighwater (6/1) scored for overjoyed members of Thehell Partnership today, providing trainer Natalia Lupini with consecutive daily wins and jockey Leigh Roche with a double in Limerick’s Lorraine O'Mara Birthday Remembrance Handicap. Having his first start for both the northern-partnership and Lupini, Hellorhighwater disputed the lead with runner-up Spanish Temptress in the final furlong, and just a nose eventually separated the pair following the ‘photo finish’ call. Thrilled syndicate members gathered in the winner’s enclosure and Banbridge-based Lupini, successful with Zia Zabel at Cork yesterday, reported “the syndicate are a bit of a mix from the north (of Ireland), two of the guys are now living in Dubai and flew home for this, so it is lovely to get this winner. They are delighted. “We put together the partnership this year and bought this horse privately from Eoin McDonagh of Shanaville Stables after he has won at Cork (last September). We do a lot of business with Eoin and he is very good to advise on his horses. “He won his maiden for Gavin Cromwell and went unsold at the sales afterwards but we liked him, so came home from that sale and put a partnership together to buy him. He is a Premier Handicap prospect now and he could be one to consider for the Galway Mile later in the summer. He handles soft ground and he has no problems with the ups-and-downs, as he is quite balanced. He is one to look forward to.”
