High clear favourite

Dual Derby winner High Chaparral has been promoted to 5 to 2 clear favourite from 4 to 1 by Coral for the Breeders` Cup Turf following the news that Sulamani is a doubtful runner.

Sulamani finished second to Marienbard in Sunday`s Prix de l`Arc de Triomphe Lucien Barriere with High Chaparral just half a length back in third.

However, Sulamani`s trainer Pascal Bary has said that the colt is unlikely to run again this year prompting Coral`s move. Coral also trimmed Golan to 5 to 1, the same price as Marienbard.

Coral have removed Islington from the betting for the Breeders` Cup Filly And Mare Turf until her running plans become clearer. Golden Apples, trained by Ben Cecil in California, is Coral`s 7 to 2 favourite with last year`s winner Banks Hill at 4 to 1 and Kazzia at 5 to 1.

Top miler Noverre will retire to Darley`s Kildangan Stud next year, it was announced yesterday. Godolphin`s Rahy colt won last season`s Sussex Stakes and is currently being prepared for the Champion Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday week.

Sam Bullard, head of nominations at Darley, said: 'He`s from one of the finest families in the book, and is a strongly-made, very attractive horse well worth coming to see once he`s at Kildangan.'
