Successful in the opener on Glitz And Glamour 7lb claimer Calum Hogan quickly completed a double in the second race at Sligo when making all on Tir Og (6/1) in the Aidan Moffitt Memorial Handicap Hurdle.

Market leader Tea It Is travelled well in second but could find no more on the run to the last as the winner kept pulling out a bit more to hold the staying-on Wild Mandate by two and a half lengths.

Runner-up at this venue in May, this was a first success for the daughter of Tirwanako who is trained in Nenagh by Eoin Seymour for the Keepthehighballslow Syndicate.

After completing his 37/1 brace, Hogan commented: “I thought if she improved off the back of her last run in Kilbeggan that she would be bang there and she has.

“I wanted a bit of cover, but I thought the easiest way to get her to settle was to leave her at it. She was keen to the winning post and pricked her ears after that and didn’t miss a beat.

“She can be free when she wants to, but she settled well today and jumped well.

“This is my second double.”
