The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after jumping the first hurdle involving Saint Peregrine, ridden by D.E. Mullins, and Tea It Is, ridden by D. King where it appeared Saint Peregrine ran short of room momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.E. Mullins stated that they collided mid air over the first hurdle and it got tight for room after that and contact was made. D. King stated that his mount was running keen but felt he maintained his racing line and kept straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 0-100 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
