Hollo to fences for Ladies

It isn't often that a Grade One winner turns up at Sedgefield on a Tuesday but such is the case today when Hollo Ladies makes his chase debut in the Collins Seafoods Novices' Chase at 2.30.

Big Fella Thanks made a cracking debut for Ferdy Murphy at Carlisle yesterday and today the Wexford native sends the ex-Noel Meade trained Hollo Ladies into battle for the first time.

Hollo Ladies caused a 25/1 surprise under Davy Condon in the paddypower.com Future Champions Novice Hurdle at last year's Leopardstown Christmas Festival when racing in the colours of Richard Heaney.

The chestnut son of Captain Rio will now race in the silks of Martin Bourke who has bought a share in the five-year-old.

He has reportedly schooled well and he will be ridden today by Graham Lee. This isn't a bad race for the venue with Paul Gallagher on Hollo Ladies' stable companion Catch Bob.

The former Edward O'Grady-trained Cockleshell Road is also in the line-up for Martin Todhunter. John Wade's Benny Be Good, a course and distance winner, has looked a smart horse on occasions in the past and he heads the field for Keith Reveley.

Meanwhile the red-hot alliance of Michael O'Hare and Andrew Lynch will be represented by Willie Martin.
