Hourigan Considering Salmon Plans

Michael Hourigan is mulling over the options for Beef Or Salmon following the star chaser´s reappearance at the Curragh.

The nine-year-old was only beaten six lengths when ninth to Clara Allen in the Irish Cesarewitch on Sunday in his first race since being pulled up in the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March.

He could stick to the Flat for his next outing with the November Handicap at Leopardstown on November 6 a possible option, or he could return to fences.

Hourigan is considering the James Nicholson Wine Merchant Champion Chase at Down Royal on November 5 or the new race at Haydock, the Betfair Chase, two weeks later in which he could face Gold Cup winners Kicking King and Best Mate.

'He´s perfect. He´s out in the paddock enjoying himself,' said Hourigan on Monday.

'It will be either Haydock, Down Royal or the Leopardstown November Handicap for him. It will one of those three races.'
